A presentation was made by senior Director Corporate Research and Development, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India Mahesh Kulkarani before the Chief Minister Jai Ram
Thakur here today regarding Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
It was informed during the presentation that e-Praman developed by C-DAC was being integrated with department of Information Technology and Mobile Seva, an integrated platform for government departments to offer public services were being executed in the State. In addition to it, online labs for school lab experiments being implemented in the State were providing students with easy and convenient conduction of experiments over internet.
Chief Minister evinced keen interest in the presentation and said that State IT department would study all the aspects of the proposal and adopt the proposed next generation solutions for the State.
Senior Director Corporation Research and Development Mahesh Kulkarani said that PARAM Shavak can be used by all the engineering and science educational institutions of the State for artificial intelligence, high performance computing and virtual reality. He said that it could go a long way in promoting e-governance in the State.
Principal Secretary IT J.C. Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and others.
Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Sanjay Kundu, Director, IT Rohan Chand Thakur and other senior officers were also present during the presentation.
