Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while interacting with the people of Rohru through video conference from Shimla said that the State Government was committed for overall and balanced development of the State.
Chief Minister said that Rohru area has immense potential from tourism point of view. He said that the Government has decided to develop Chanshal as a ski and winter sports destination under the Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein programme. He said that an amount of Rs 118 crore was being spent on construction of 31 roads in under the PMGSY in Rohru area. He said that the people of Rohru have given immense support to the BJP in the last Lok Sabha elections, which shows that the people of the area have full faith in the policies and programmes of the BJP Government.
Jai Ram Thakur said that appointment of Shashibala as Chairperson of HP State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ltd (HPSCARDB) was aimed for providing proper representation to the people of the area. He said that the State Government was ensuring that paucity of funds does not come in way of development. He said that the apple season was on and the Government has directed the officers to ensure adequate arrangements to facilitate the apple growers. He said that the coronavirus has posed a big challenge to the society therefore every precaution must be adopted to check the spread of this virus.
Chairperson HPSCARDB Shashibala welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for her appointment as Chairperson of the Bank. She assured the Chief Minister that she would work with dedication and commitment to meet the expectations of the Chief Minister.
Mandal BJP President Brajesh Ranta, Incharge Mahasu district BJP Behari Lal Sharma, senior BJP leader of the area Roshan Lal Banstu were present on the occasion.
