Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi chaired the meeting of People’s Plan Campaign for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) Sabki Yojna Sabka Vikas being organised by Panchyati Raj Department from 2nd October till 31st December,2019.
Dr. Baldi said that GPDP is a participatory decentralized planning process of Gram Panchayat for eco development and social justice by utilizing all available resources. He said that for development of the panchayats in the state, it is important to have inter-departmental coordination as it will also help in coordination of funds.
He directed the authorities to form a Sub divisional level committee under the chairmanship of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) for monitoring and execution of development works in various panchayats by convergence of the line departments. He directed for convergence of all flagship programmes of central and state government. He also directed the Panchayati Raj department to conduct two meetings at SDM level in this regard on pilot basis and formulate guidelines regarding the same.
It was informed in the meeting that under People’s Plan Campaign for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), 3226 gram sabhas were held in the year 2018-19 in all districts of the state, achieving 100 percent target.
He said that the panchayats should be informed of any developmental activity that is being carried out in district or block so that the panchayats were aware of the development taking place in their respective panchayats. He also directed to compile panchayat wise information of the resources being allocated to various panchayats for developmental works by the line departments.
Additional Chief Secretary Panchayati Raj Dr. R.N. Batta, Director Panchayati Raj Lalit Jain and senior officers of the line departments were also present in the meeting.
