Governor Bandaru Dattatraya planted sapling of Chinar at Raj Bhavan complex on completion of one year of his tenure as Governor in Himachal Pradesh today.
On this occasion, he said that this hill state is a much more prosperous, has diverse culture and religiously rich state than he had heard about Himachal. He said that the people of the state are contented, happy and simple. He said that the natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh has given him an opportunity to get acquainted with panoramic landscape and filled him with reverence. He said that one year of his tenure in Himachal Pradesh has been highly inspiring for him personally and he feels reverence for the cultural heritage of the state.
On this occasion, he had also sent clothes and other materials for people living in the old age home of Basantpur. He performed Yajna and also worshiped cow.
On this occasion, the Governor released a documentary based on his one year tenure prepared by the Raj Bhavan and also released the cover page of the book.
