The general house of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Officers Association was held here today. While keeping Covid-19 in view this general house was organised through Google meet in which the association was reconstituted and new general secretary and president were elected.
Harbans Singh Brascon, HAS officer of 2001 batch, serving as Director Information and Public Relation was elected as the President of the association and Vivek Chandel HAS officer, batch 2004, presently serving as Director Technical Education has been elected as General Secretary.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to induction of former President of the Association Manmohan Sharma and General Secretary Ram Kumar Gautam in the Indian Administrative Service, both these posts of the Association were lying vacant for the last few months,
The newly appointed general secretary of the association, Vivek Chandel, said that the president has been authorized to select the other office bearers of the executive.
The newly appointed president of the association, Harbans Singh Brascon, said that the Association would work keeping in mind the interests of all members associated with the association and the collective efforts would be made to further strengthen the association. He also thanked the entire executive including the former president and general secretary for the work done earlier in the interest of association.
