Forest, Transport, Youth Services and Sports Minister Govind Singh Thakur today said that the Global Investor’s Meet being organised at Dharamshala being a new phase of economic development and social prosperity in Himachal Pradesh.
He said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such a big event is being organized for the first time in the state to attract investors.
Govind Singh Thakur said that few Opposition leaders are questioning the investor’s meet, but perhaps they have forgotten that previous state Congress government spent crores of rupees in the name of road shows to attract investment, but failed to attract even a single penny.
The minister said that investor’s meet is not being held overnight but it is a result of the hard work of the state government in the last one year. For this, while the Chief Minister made personal efforts to create a suitable environment in the country and abroad, more than 150 regulatory reforms, easing of standard operating procedures for more than 50 departments and online services of more than 40 services will be made available for ease of doing business. Apart from this, the state government has also worked hard to promoting development oriented activities by simplifying the rules and regulations like Single Window Act-2018 and Himachal Pradesh Micro Enterprises Facilitation Council Rules-2018.
Govind Singh Thakur said that till now investment proposals worth Rs 83 thousand crores have been signed with various industrial houses which will strengthen the economy. All these efforts will create new employment opportunities and bring prosperity in life of the people of the state, he added.
