On the occasion of Panch Kalyanak Mahamotsav organized by Shri Digambar Jain Sabha Shimla today in Jain temple, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that the message of non-violence, renunciation and truth shown by Jainism is more relevant today.
He said that teachings of Jainism are based on those ideas, which can help in leading a better and peaceful life. Mahavir ji emphasized ideas like right faith, proper conduct and knowledge. He believed in karma. He believed in the existence of a supreme power in all souls, which is omnipotent. The five principles promoted by Mahavir ji include non-violence, speaking the truth not stealing, renunciation and celibacy means living a virtuous life. His teachings shows us the way to live the right life.
On this occasion, he welcomed Balayogi Acharya Shri Saubhagya Sagar Ji Maharaj on his arrival in Shimla and said that his blessings would inspire people to walk on the sunway.
