National President of BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda laid foundation stones of six district offices of BJP at Organizational districts of Palampur, Dehra, Kangra, Nurpur, Sundernagar and Kullu virtually from New Delhi today.

While addressing the virtual rally from New Delhi, Jagat Prakash Nadda said that it was the inspiration of Narendra Modi, the then incharge BJP of State that the State BJP now has its own office at State headquarter. He said that Narendra Modi used to say that Party must not run from a residence as then it become a Party of a family and not of people.

J.P. Nadda said that efforts would be made that all the Organizational districts must have their own offices. He said that a total of 719 BJP Offices would be constructed throughout the country and work on 433 offices was on advanced stage of completion. He said that the BJP offices must have advanced and all modern facilities. He said that it should have proper place for seating for guests, an online and offline library. He said that proper arrangement must be made for accommodating various frontal organizations of the Party. He thanked the people of the State for generously contributing towards the PMCARES and CM Covid Fund.

He said that all the offices must be well equipped with modern technologies such as computers, video conferences etc. He said that offices were not only a place for working, but also a place for ideological grooming. He said that the offices not only help in proper functioning of the Party, but also contribute in strengthening its base.

National President said that the Party was publishing National e-book which would be published in nine different languages. He said that country today was safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has successfully guided the nation in the Covid crisis. He said that the timely decisions taken by the Prime Minister has ensured the check on the spread of the pandemic. He said that today the Nation had over 1600 dedicated Covid hospitals with the bed capacity of over four lakhs. He said that testing capacity has increased to 15 lakh per day and the Nation was preparing over 4.50 lakh PPE kits per day. Not only this, hydroxychloroquine was being exported to about 150 countries.

J.P. Nadda said that 20 crore families had been benefitted under Jandhan Yojna, 8.50 crore families of the farmers had been provided Rs. 6000 under Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna and 8 crore free gas connections have been provided to the eligible families under Ujjawala Yojna. He said that several historic decisions such as abrogation of Article 370, abolition of triple talaq and bhoomipujan of Ram Janbhumi were possible due to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

While appreciating the achievements of the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, National BJP President said that Himachal Pradesh has made tremendous progress during the about last three years. He said that ‘Himcare’ scheme had benefited over 5.50 lakh families whereas Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna has provided relief to about 2.78 lakh families.

He also appreciated the good works done by the State Government to bring back over 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country during the lockdown.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while welcoming the National BJP President J.P. Nadda said that this was a momentous day for State BJP that National BJP President was laying foundation stone of six district Party offices in the State. He said that the State was fortunate that the biggest political party of the world was today led by the son of the soil J.P.Nadda. He said that sheer hard work of JP Nadda has been instrumental in his rise to the top-most post in the party.

 Chief Minister said that when the BJP was founded in 1980, the Party did not have any office at the State level and it used to function from residences of party workers. He said that foundation stone of the State office  of BJP was laid on  23rd March, 2000 and now the BJP can soon boast of having eight offices in Organizational districts of the State. He said that the State Government and Party were working with effective coordination and unison, to deliver better results to the people of the State.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Party during the Covid pandemic has worked relentlessly to mitigate the sufferings of the people of the State. He said that during this crisis the State Government had 34 video conferences with Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and Chief Medical Officers to keep watch on the situation of covid-19 and tone up the administration to tackle this pandemic effectively. He said that 14 video conferences were held with elected representatives of PRIs during the covid pandemic to ensure that pace of development goes uninterrupted. He said that as many as 37 virtual rallies were held during this period besides four video conferences were held with the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.

Chief Minister urged the people of the State to adopt precautions as the covid crisis was not yet over. He said that people should use face masks and maintain social distancing at public places. He also congratulated the people of the State on Navratras.

State BJP President Suresh Kashyap while welcoming the National BJP President and other dignitaries said that it was an historic moment for the people of the State in general and for BJP in particular that National President was laying foundation stones of six district offices of BJP. He said that during the Corona pandemic, the BJP workers ensured that no one goes without food in the State and everyone has a face mask. He said that the Party was effectively implementing the Vistarak Yojna in the State to increase the base of the party in the State. He said that the BJP in the State was effectively carrying the policies and programmes of the Centre and State Government amongst the people. He said that there was effective coordination between the State Government and the Party and both would ensure that the BJP repeats in 2022 State Assembly elections.

Rural Development Minister Virender Kanwar felicitated Nadda by presenting him Himachali Shawl and cap.

Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur, former Chief Ministers Shanta Kumar and Prem Kumar Dhumal, National BJP General Secretary Arun Singh, Ministers, Office Construction Committee Convener Satpal Satti, MPs and MLAs joined the event from their respective places through video conferencing.
