The State Election Commission Himachal Pradesh has notified 1st December, 2020 as qualifying date to determine the eligibility of an elector to be registered in the electoral rolls of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies in the State of Himachal Pradesh for the ensuing General Election.
The State Election Commission in its review meeting held on today considered this issue at length and in order to ensure that maximum citizen are provided right to franchise. It was deemed necessary to modify the aforesaid date of eligibility of an elector to be registered in the electoral rolls.
