Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to inaugurate two days Regional Workshop on Challenges of Disaster Risk Reduction in Himachal Pradesh to be organised on 22nd and 23rd October,2019 by Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) at Hotel Holiday Home, Shimla.
In the two days workshop, about 50 particiapnts comprising of senior officers from the state of Uttrakhand, Jammu-Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh would be participating.
The workshop is being organised with the objective to discuss the issues faced by the hill towns with respect to Disaster Risk Reduction and to come out with solutions and plans to deal with such challenges.
Urban Development, Town and Country Planning Minister Sarveen Chaudhary would be the Guest of Honour on this occasion. Member National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs Kamal Kishore would also be the guest of honour and deliver the key note address during the inaugural session.
